Today’s diners crave more than just great food when they go out for a meal – it is simply one facet of what makes up the total dining experience.  Unfortunately, there are very few restaurants that are addressing this concept, and even fewer, that are doing it well.

As owner of Moxxe, Mona has been recognized within the community as “Best PR Pro” for 2009 by the Orange County Register, and was nominated for the Orange County Business Journal’s “Women In Business” award in 2008 and 2009, and its “Excellence in Entrepreneurship” award in 2008 and 2009; dubbed one of “Orange County’s Savviest Singles” by OC WEEKLY in 2008; and presented with Brooks College of Design’s “Award of Excellence” for Marketing in 2008.

 

In addition, Mona sits on the Board of Directors of the Orange County Restaurant Association; is a member of the OC Press Club, contributes to the Art Institute of California in Orange County as a member of its Advisory Board; has taken a leadership role in the OC chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier International; is an official advocate for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International; and has shared her knowledge of PR and marketing with students at the Art Institute of California in Orange County and the Student Communication Association at C.S.U. Long Beach. She has also participated in panel discussions on new media during the 2009 conference for Soroptimist International of the Americas and for members of the Orange County Restaurant Association. She is also a contributor for the widely read blog Greer’s OC (GreersOC.com).

 

Mona has been referred to as “an astute businesswoman who knows how to turn an ordinary occurrence into a grand event.”  Her event planning skills are second to none.  Her events are as dynamic, energetic, hip and sophisticated as she is, and have spanned the gamut and raised funds for many charitable organizations in Orange County, including Susan G.
